Presented on October 9, 2024

Falls in long-term care settings are both a persistent problem and a significant expense. Understanding the intrinsic and extrinsic causes of falls and effective prevention methods is crucial for senior living professionals. This session will provide participants with an in-depth overview of falls in senior living environments, exploring the various and diverse risk factors and situations that contribute to them—many of which are preventable.

The presentation will equip learners with strategies for multidisciplinary teams to collaboratively assess, select, and implement fall prevention programs tailored to their communities.
