The new Medicare Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM) is a significant change which will require in-depth, detailed training and planning. Each session in this series dives deeper into each element of the PDPM process and will provide the necessary coding instruction for each of those elements including how the ICD-10 codes fit into the PDPM clinical categories and drive reimbursement.
Objectives for this webinar session:
- Review components of the SLP component of the PDPM payment.
- Identify which diagnoses qualify for the Speech Related Comorbidities and correct ICD-10 coding for these diagnoses.
- Implement correct MDS coding for “impaired cognition” for the SLP component of PDPM.
- Discuss correct MDS coding for Swallowing Disorder for the SLP component of PDPM.
